The command staff is comprised of three staff officers. The Chief of Police, the Operations Captain and the Administrative Captain. The Chief of Police reports directly to the City Administrator and is responsible for the administration and control of the department.
Responsibilities of the command staff include; Commander of Patrol Division, Commander of Criminal Investigations Unit, Internal Affairs, Grant Manager, Accreditation Manager, Evidence Control Officer, Public Information Officer, Financial Officer, Records Management, Community Outreach Coordinator, Training Officer, Personnel / Hiring Coordinator and Crime Analysis.
Command Staff Officers are available 24 Hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year by rotating on-call responsibilities.
